Ronald J. Liace

Ronald J. Liace, age 75, passed away peacefully at home on December 21, 2023. Ronald (Ron) was born in Chicago, IL and lived in Lake Forest, IL for the last 12 years of his life. He was a loving husband, father, stepfather, and grandfather who left behind a legacy of kindness and love. Ron was a loving husband of 24 years to his wife Nancy J. Rappeport Liace. Together, they built a strong and nurturing home filled with warmth and humor. Their love of travelling took them around the world on many adventures creating wonderful memories that will be cherished forever. As a father, Ron was a guiding light to his daughters, Jennifer Yarbrough and Adie Hall, providing unwavering support and encouragement throughout their lives. He embraced his role as a stepfather to Megan Lehmann and Katie Dudley, treating them with the same love and care as his own children. Ron leaves behind his brother Gerald Liace and his beloved dog Murphy. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Helen Fefes Liace. Ron’s greatest joy came from being a grandfather. He adored his grandchildren Abby, Luke, and Levi Yarbrough, Charlotte, Sophie and Robert Hall and Parker and Ryder Lehmann. He loved spending time with them and creating lasting memories. Ron attended Loyola University in Chicago, IL and had a successful career in financial planning and life insurance sales. He had a great love for music and early in his life was a member of a touring band called The Faded Blue. Ron was a dedicated volunteer at A Safe Place, a provider of services addressing domestic violence. Over the years, he spent countless hours mentoring young men. His selflessness and compassion impacted the lives of many as he offered guidance and support to those in need. Ron leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion and generosity that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him. In honor of Ron’s life, a Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Gorton Center, 400 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest, IL.
