Richard "Richie" Andrew Durrett Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard Andrew Durrett "Richie" of Clearwater, FL, passed away too soon on July 6, 2022 at the age of 31. Richie is survived by his wife Kahealani Lisa Durrett "Lani"; his children Manning James Durrett (age 5) and Richard Kaleiokalani Durrett (age 1); his parents Dr. R. Tracy and Sharon Durrett; his brothers Robert 'Rob', Thomas (Nicole), Tyler; nephews Hudson and Oliver; and grandmother Vivian Beers. Richie was born at Highland Park Hospital and raised in Lake Bluff, IL. He graduated from Lake Forest High School in 2009. He attended Universal Technical Institute and completed his training for Industrial Technology and Mechanics in 2011. He specialized in Mercedes and BMW and was certified as a Mercedes Master Mechanic. He was employed at Knauz Automotive, Aldridge Electric, and most recently Bob's Auto in Clearwater, FL. Richie was charismatic and outgoing, who knew no strangers. His smile was bright and his laughter was contagious. A memorial service will be held 1PM Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Gorton Community Center Auditorium, 400 E. Illinois Rd, Lake Forest, IL 60045. A reception will follow in the Stuart Room at Gorton's Community Center.
