Sharon Daush Ebelhardt

Sharon Daush Ebelhardt, of Lake Forest, Illinois, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at the age of 86. Sharon was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Robert and Joan Daush. Sharon was a devout Catholic, who loved the Lord and her family. Sharon's family was the center of her universe. She is survived by her loving son, Scott Ebelhardt, daughter Lisa (Joe) Godwin. Her grandchildren, Ethan and Reese. Sharon's siblings, Mike (Barbara) Daush, Stephen (the late Chris) Daush, Laura (Terry) Rice, Claudia (John) Conner, and Beth Daush. Sharon, beloved wife of the late David Paul Ebelhardt, shared 50 years together building a life and raising their family. A graduate of Mount Healthy High School in Ohio, Sharon's education led her to enjoy sharing the gospel with children and teaching religious education. She loved being a parishioner and enjoyed her bible studies with the St. Mary’s Church community. There she was known for her warm and generous smile. Sharon's professional life was marked by her dedication to the Lake Forest Hospital Resale Shop, where she worked for many years. Her commitment to service was evident in the countless hours she spent ensuring the shop's success, while benefitting the health and well-being of Lake Forest. Sharon often visited their second home in Wisconsin, with Dave, and enjoyed her walks in the natural beauty of the Wisconsin woods. She also enjoyed bird watching and found great pleasure in planting flowers at her home. Sharon adored her grandchildren Ethan and Reese, as she was lovingly known as Gram Gram. Her grandchildren were the apples of her eye, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She loved taking them to Lake Forest Beach, parks and museums. Grandma and Ethan enjoyed being together at Ethan’s ball games, she was his number one fan. Grandma and Reese loved to go shopping and loved to help decorate for Reese’s Birthday parties. Sharon's life was devoted to her husband Dave, son Scott, daughter Lisa, and her grandchildren Ethan and Reese. Her presence was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished forever. A visitation will be held at 10:00 am with a Funeral Mass to follow beginning at 11:00 am on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Church of the Assumption, 7711 Joseph Street, Cincinnati, OH 45321.
